An Act to amend the New Zealand Society of Accountants Act 1958

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1 Short Title

This Act may be cited as the New Zealand Society of Accountants Amendment Act 1978, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the New Zealand Society of Accountants Act 1958 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

2 Prescribed fees to be paid into Fidelity Fund

(1)

Section 10(1) of the New Zealand Society of Accountants Amendment Act 1963 (as substituted by section 5(1) of the New Zealand Society of Accountants Amendment Act 1977) is hereby amended by inserting, after the words “the Council”, the words “by resolution”.

(2)

Section 12(2)(h) of the principal Act (as substituted by section 2(2) of the New Zealand Society of Accountants Amendment Act 1977) is hereby consequentially amended by inserting, after the word “under”, the words “section 10(1) of the New Zealand Society of Accountants Amendment Act 1963 or”.

(3)

Section 25(1) of the New Zealand Society of Accountants Amendment Act 1963 (as amended by section 18(2) of the New Zealand Society of Accountants Amendment Act 1968) is hereby consequentially amended by repealing paragraph (a).

(4)

Rule 4 of the New Zealand Society of Accountants Fidelity Fund Rules 1964 is hereby consequentially revoked.

(5)

This section shall be deemed to have come into force on the 21st day of February 1978.
