An Act to amend the Real Estate Agents Act 1976
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
1 Short Title
This Act may be cited as the Real Estate Agents Amendment Act 1978, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Real Estate Agents Act 1976 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).
2 Principal place of business of real estate agent
(1)
Section 52 of the principal Act is hereby amended by repealing subsection (2), and substituting the following subsection:
“(2)
The registered office shall be at the licensee’s principal place of business.”
(2)
The said section 52 is hereby further amended by adding the following subsection:
“(5)
For the purposes of this section and of section 54(1) of this Act, the Board may, on application made in writing in that behalf by either the licensee or the Institute, determine which place of business of that licensee is his principal place of business.”
