An Act to amend the Electric Power Boards Act 1925

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1 Short Title

This Act may be cited as the Electric Power Boards Amendment Act 1978, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Electric Power Boards Act 1925 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

2 Annual allowance to Chairman

(1)

The principal Act is hereby amended by repealing section 27 (as amended by section 2(1) of the Electric Power Boards Amendment Act 1969), and substituting the following section:

“27

The Chairman may be paid such annual allowance, not exceeding such amount as may from time to time be approved by the Minister of Finance, out of the funds of the Board as the Board from time to time fixes.”

(2)

Section 2 of the Electric Power Boards Amendment Act 1969 is hereby consequentially repealed.

This Act is administered in the Ministry of Energy.
