An Act to amend the Apple and Pear Marketing Act 1971
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
1 Short Title
This Act may be cited as the Apple and Pear Marketing Amendment Act 1979, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Apple and Pear Marketing Act 1971 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).
2 Bank accounts
Section 29 of the principal Act is hereby amended by repealing subsection (2), and substituting the following subsections:
“(2)
In addition to the Industry Account, the Board may from time to time open at—
“(a)
The Reserve Bank of New Zealand; or
“(b)
Any branch or agency of the Bank of New Zealand (whether in New Zealand or elsewhere); or
“(c)
Any branch or agency of a trading bank (being a branch or agency situated outside New Zealand)—
such imprest or other subsidiary accounts as the Board from time to time thinks desirable for the purposes of this Act.
“(2A)
Every account established under subsection (2) of this section shall, for the purposes of this Act, be deemed to be part of the Industry Account.”
This Act is administered in the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries.
