An Act to amend the Gaming and Lotteries Act 1977

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1 Short Title

This Act may be cited as the Gaming and Lotteries Amendment Act 1979, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Gaming and Lotteries Act 1977 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

2 Conditions under which lotteries may be conducted privately altered

Section 33(1)(b) of the principal Act is hereby amended by repealing subparagraph (iv), and substituting the following subparagraph:

“(iv)

Are all attending the same premises, whether or not together, and whether or not for a common purpose; and”.

This Act is administered in the Department of Internal Affairs.
