An Act to amend the Innkeepers Act 1962

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1 Short Title

This Act may be cited as the Innkeepers Amendment Act 1980, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Innkeepers Act 1962 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

2 Monetary limit of liability increased

Section 8 of the principal Act (as amended by section 7 of the Decimal Currency Act 1964) is hereby amended—

(a)

By omitting the expression “$80”, and substituting the expression “$300”:

(b)

By omitting the expression “$300”, and substituting the expression “$1,200”.

This Act is administered in the Department of Justice.
