An Act to amend the Reserves Act 1977

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1 Short Title and commencement

(1)

This Act may be cited as the Reserves Amendment Act 1980, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Reserves Act 1977 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

(2)

This Act shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st day of April 1980.

2 Easements

Section 48(1) of the principal Act is hereby amended by repealing paragraph (f), and substituting the following paragraph:

“(f)

The purpose of providing for the piping through the reserve of—

“(i)

Any oil within the meaning of Part II of the Petroleum Act 1937; or

“(ii)

Any gas.”

This Act is administered in the Department of Lands and Survey.
