1 Short Title

• This Act may be cited as the Road User Charges Amendment Act 1980, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Road User Charges Act 1977 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

2 Confirmation of increases in road user charges

• As required by section 20 of the principal Act, the Road User Charges (Rates) Order 1980 is hereby confirmed.

3 Confirmation of change in allocation of motor spirits duty

• As required by section 188A of the Transport Act 1962 (as inserted by section 28 of the principal Act), the Transport (Allocation of Motor Spirits Duty) Order 1980 is hereby confirmed.

4 Road user charge rates

• (1) [Repealed]

  (2) Section 21 of the principal Act shall not apply in respect of the substitution, by subsection (1) of this section, of a new Schedule 3 to the principal Act.

  (3) Section 5(1) of, and the Schedule to, the Road User Charges Amendment Act 1979 are hereby consequentially repealed.

  (4) The Road User Charges (Rates) Order 1980 is hereby revoked.

  Subsection (1) was repealed, as from 16 September 1981, by section 4(3) Road User Charges Amendment Act 1981 (1981 No 29).
