15A Power to issue search warrant even though offence not imprisonable

(1)

A search warrant may be issued under section 6 of the Search and Surveillance Act 2012 in respect of an offence which has been or is suspected to have been committed against section 9 or section 10 or section 11 or section 11Q or section 11ZE or which is believed to be intended to be so committed, even though the offence is not punishable by imprisonment.

(2)

An officer who is authorised in writing by the Director-General to apply for search warrants in relation to the offences referred to in subsection (1) may apply for such a warrant under section 6 of the Search and Surveillance Act 2012 as if that officer were a constable.
