Medicines Act Commencement Order 1984

Note

This order is administered in the Department of Health.

PURSUANT to section 1(2) of the Medicines Act 1981, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

1 Title

  • This order may be cited as the Medicines Act Commencement Order 1984.

2 Commencement of Act

  • All the provisions of the Medicines Act 1981, except section 21(1)(a) (which requires applications for the Minister's consent to the distribution of a new medicine to be made in the prescribed manner) shall come into force on the 1st day of August 1984.
