An Act to amend the Flags, Emblems, and Names Protection Act 1981
BE IT ENACTED by the Parliament of New Zealand as follows:
1 Short Title and commencement

(1) This Act may be cited as the Flags, Emblems, and Names Protection Amendment Act 1998, and is part of the Flags, Emblems, and Names Protection Act 1981 (
“the principal Act”
).(2) This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent.
3 General penalty
This section substituted s 24 of the principal Act.
5 New Schedule inserted
The principal Act is amended by inserting, after Schedule 2, the Schedule 2A set out in the Schedule of this Act.
