An Act to amend the Transport Act 1962
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
1 Short Title
This Act may be cited as the Transport Amendment Act (No. 3) 1982, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Transport Act 1962 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).
2 Licensing Authorities may act in other districts
Section 93 of the principal Act is hereby amended by adding the following subsection:
“(4)
The Minister may, if he is satisfied that any Licensing Authority is or is likely to be unable to deal expeditiously with all the transport licensing matters arising in its district, authorise in writing one or more other Licensing Authorities also to act as such in the transport district of that Authority for such period as shall be specified in the notice.”
This Act is administered in the Ministry of Transport.
