An Act to amend the Building Research Levy Act 1969

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1 Short Title and commencement

(1)

This Act may be cited as the Building Research Levy Amendment Act 1982, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Building Research Levy Act 1969 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

This Act shall come into force on the 1st day of April 1983.

2 Payment of levies by builders

Section 5(4) of the principal Act is hereby amended by omitting from paragraph (a) and also from paragraph (b) the expression “$3,000”, and substituting in each case the expression “$10,000”.

This Act is administered in the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research.
