An Act to amend the Family Proceedings Act 1980

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1 Short Title

This Act may be cited as the Family Proceedings Amendment Act 1985, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Family Proceedings Act 1980 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

2 Appeals from decisions of District Courts and Family Courts

Section 174(1) of the principal Act is hereby amended by omitting the expression “section 71”, and substituting the expression “subsections (1), (3), and (5) of section 71a”.

This Act is administered in the Department of Justice.
