An Act to amend the Ministry of Energy Act 1977

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1 Short Title

This Act may be cited as the Ministry of Energy Amendment Act 1985, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Ministry of Energy Act 1977 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

2 Energy Account

Section 15a(2) of the principal Act (as enacted by section 144 of the Public Finance Act 1977) is hereby amended by omitting the words “the Reserve Bank or any New Zealand branch of the Bank of New Zealand”, and substituting the words “any bank within the meaning of the Banking Act 1982 (including the Reserve Bank of New Zealand) or any New Zealand branch or agency of any such bank”.
