An Act to amend the Law Practitioners Act 1982
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
1 Short Title
This Act may be cited as the Law Practitioners Amendment Act 1985, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Law Practitioners Act 1982 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).
2 Restriction on right of practitioner to commence private practice
Section 55(6) of the principal Act is hereby amended by omitting the expression “subsection (2)(c)”
, and substituting the expression “subsection (2)(b)”
.
3 New Zealand Law Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal
Section 108(2)(b) of the principal Act is hereby amended by omitting the word “Two”
, and substituting the word “Three”
.
