National Development Act Repeal Act 1986: repealed, on 3 June 2017, by section 3(1) of the Statutes Repeal Act 2017 (2017 No 23).

An Act to repeal the National Development Act 1979 and to make provision incidental thereto
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
This Act may be cited as the National Development Act Repeal Act 1986.
(1)
The following enactments are hereby repealed:
the National Development Act 1979:
section 62 of the Historic Places Act 1980:
so much of Schedule 1 of the National Parks Act 1980 as relates to the National Development Act 1979:
section 32(4) of the Mining Amendment Act 1981:
subsections (10) and (11) of section 294Aof the Local Government Act 1974:
the National Development Amendment Act 1981.

The Otago Harbour Board Vesting, Reclamation, and Empowering Act 1981 is hereby amended—
by omitting from section 5(2) the word “either”:
“either”
by omitting from section 17(2) the word “either”:
by repealing section 5(2)(a), section 11(b)(ii), section 17(2)(a), section 17(4) to (7), and section 18.

Without limiting the Acts Interpretation Act 1924, it is hereby declared that the repeal of the National Development Act 1979 shall not affect the amendment made by section 19(1) and (2) of that Act to section 116 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1977.
Section 2(1)(d): repealed, on 1 April 1993, by section 62(1) of the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992 (1992 No 96).
Section 2(1)(e): repealed, on 1 April 1993, by section 84(6)(b) of the Public Works Amendment Act 1988 (1988 No 43).
The orders set out in the Schedule are hereby revoked.
Section 4: repealed, on 1 October 1991, by section 362 of the Resource Management Act 1991 (1991 No 69).
Notwithstanding the revocation of—
the National Development (Petralgas Chemicals NZ Limited) Order 1981; and
the National Development (Petralgas Chemicals NZ Limited) Order 1981, Amendment No 1; and
the National Development (New Zealand Synthetic Fuels Corporation Limited) Order 1982—
by section 3, every consent granted by those orders, and every condition, restriction, and prohibition subject to which every such consent was granted, shall continue in force and have effect as if it had been granted or imposed in the normal way pursuant to the statutory provision referred to in the relevant order in relation to the consent; and the provisions of the Act so referred to, with the necessary modifications, shall accordingly apply in respect of the consent and of the conditions, restrictions, and prohibitions subject to which the consent was granted.
