This order is administered in the Treasury.

PURSUANT to section 1(3) of the Finance Act 1994, Her Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

  • This order may be cited as the Finance Act Commencement Order 1994.

2 Commencement of section 5 of Finance Act 1994

  • Section 5 of the Finance Act 1994 shall come into force on the 18th day of November 1994.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order brings into force, on 18 November 1994, section 5 of the Finance Act 1994. Section 5 of that Act omits the name GCS Limited from Schedules 1 and 2 to the State-Owned Enterprises Act 1986. The company will thus cease to be a State enterprise on that date.

Issued under the authority of the Acts and Regulations Publication Act 1989.
