An Act to amend the State Insurance Act 1963

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1 Short Title and commencement

(1)

This Act may be cited as the State Insurance Amendment Act 1986, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the State Insurance Act 1963 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

(2)

This Act shall come into force on the day on which it receives the Governor-General’s assent.

2 Secretary to the Treasury to cease to be member of State Insurance Investment Board

(1)

Section 18(1)(c) of the principal Act is hereby repealed.

(2)

Section 20(3) of the principal Act is hereby consequentially repealed.

(3)

Section 21(4) of the principal Act is hereby consequentially amended by omitting the expression “4”, and substituting the expression “3”.

This Act is administered in the State Insurance Office.
