7A Accredited persons’ working standards

(1)

Every accredited person shall maintain such standards of measurement as the Secretary considers necessary to enable the accredited person to exercise or perform that accredited person’s functions, duties, and powers under this Act.

(2)

Every accredited person shall from time to time, at intervals not exceeding 12 months, cause the standards maintained by that person pursuant to subsection (1), except those that are used to determine a measure of volume and are constructed of glass, to be verified by reference to—

(a)

the departmental standards; or

(b)

any reference standards; or

(c)

the standards referred to in paragraph (a) or paragraph (b) of section 5(3).

(3)

Every accredited person must, at intervals not exceeding 10 years, cause the standards maintained by that person under subsection (1) that are used to determine a measure of volume and are constructed of glass to be verified by reference to—

(a)

the departmental standards; or

(b)

any reference standards; or

(c)

the standards referred to in section 5(3)(a) or (b).
