5 Effect of recognition

Nothing in section 3 or section 4 shall—

(a)

affect any right that any person has, otherwise than by virtue of that section, to receive or impart any communication in Māori; or

(b)

affect the right of any other linguistic community in New Zealand to use the language of that community.
