An Act to amend the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941

BE IT ENACTED by the Parliament of New Zealand as follows:

1 Short Title

This Act may be cited as the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Amendment Act (No. 2) 1988, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

2 Omission of defunct provisions

The principal Act is hereby amended—

(a)

By omitting from section 115a(1) (as inserted by section 5 of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Amendment Act 1964) the words “or any other meetings whatsoever called, or approved, by the Authority”:

By repealing the proviso to section 133(3):

By repealing section 143(5):

(d)

By omitting from section 149(1)(b) the words “or catchment area”.

This Act is administered in the Ministry for the Environment.
