An Act to amend the State-Owned Enterprises Act 1986

BE IT ENACTED by the Parliament of New Zealand as follows:

1 Short Title

This Act may be cited as the State-Owned Enterprises Amendment Act (No. 5) 1988, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the State-Owned Enterprises Act 1986 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

2 Transitional arrangements

Section 32 of the principal Act (as amended by section 9 of the State-Owned Enterprises Amendment Act 1987) is hereby amended by adding the following subsection:

“(7)

Notwithstanding subsections (2) and (5) of this section, Part III of the Fourth Schedule to this Act shall continue to have effect after the 31st day of December 1988 until the close of the 30th day of June 1989.”
