An Act to amend the Local Authorities (Members’ Interests) Act 1968

BE IT ENACTED by the Parliament of New Zealand as follows:

1 Short Title

This Act may be cited as the Local Authorities (Members’ Interests) Amendment Act 1988, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Local Authorities (Members’ Interests) Act 1968 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

2 First Schedule amended

(1)

Part II of the First Schedule to the principal Act is hereby amended by omitting the item relating to the Auckland Institute and Museum Trust Board, and the item relating to the Auckland War Memorial Museum Council, and substituting in the place of the first of those items the following item:

“The Council of the Auckland Institute and Museum

1979, No. 1 (Local)—The Auckland War Memorial Museum Maintenance Act 1979.”

Section 11 of the Auckland War Memorial Museum Maintenance Act 1979 is hereby consequentially repealed.

This Act is administered in the Department of Internal Affairs.
