Order
1 Title
This order is the State Sector (Office for Māori Crown Relations—Te Arawhiti) Order 2018.
2 Commencement
This order comes into force on 1 January 2019.
3 Schedule 1A of State Sector Act 1988 amended
In the State Sector Act 1988, Schedule 1A, insert in its appropriate alphabetical order:

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order, which comes into force on 1 January 2019, amends the State Sector Act 1988. Clause 3 inserts the name of the Office for Māori Crown Relations—Te Arawhiti into Schedule 1A as a departmental agency hosted by the Ministry of Justice.
The effect of this is that the Office for Māori Crown Relations—Te Arawhiti will become a new departmental agency and the State Sector Act 1988 will apply to it.
