An Act to amend the Medical and Dental Auxiliaries Act 1966

BE IT ENACTED by the Parliament of New Zealand as follows:

1 Short Title

This Act may be cited as the Medical and Dental Auxiliaries Amendment Act 1988, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Medical and Dental Auxiliaries Act 1966 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

2 Prescribed courses of training

(1)

Section 2 of the principal Act is hereby amended by inserting in the definition of the term “prescribed”, after the words “prescribed by”, the words “or under”.

(2)

Section 40(1)(n) of the principal Act is hereby amended by inserting, after the word “Prescribing”, the words “, or authorising the prescription of,”.

This Act is administered in the Department of Health.
