An Act to amend the Racing Act 1971

BE IT ENACTED by the Parliament of New Zealand as follows:

1 Short Title

This Act may be cited as the Racing Amendment Act 1988, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Racing Act 1971 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

2 Minister’s consent not now required in certain cases

(1)

Section 69(3) of the principal Act is hereby amended by omitting the words “paragraph (d) or”.

(2)

Section 83(7) of the principal Act is hereby repealed.

This Act is administered in the Department of Internal Affairs.
