An Act to amend the Evidence Act 1908
BE IT ENACTED by the Parliament of New Zealand as follows:
1 Short Title
This Act may be cited as the Evidence Amendment Act (No. 2) 1988, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Evidence Act 1908.
2 Judicial notice of signature of Speaker
The Evidence Amendment Act 1945 is hereby amended by inserting, after section 11, the following section:
“11a
All Courts and persons acting judicially shall take judicial notice of the signature of the Speaker of the House of Representatives when attached or appended to any document pursuant to any power vested in the Speaker under any enactment or under the Standing Orders of the House of Representatives.”
This Act is administered in the Department of Justice.
