An Act to amend the Civil Defence Act 1983

BE IT ENACTED by the Parliament of New Zealand as follows:

1 Short Title and commencement

(1)

This Act may be cited as the Civil Defence Amendment Act 1988, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Civil Defence Act 1983 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

(2)

This Act shall come into force on the 1st day of April 1988.

2 National Civil Defence Committee

Section 19(2)(c) of the principal Act is hereby repealed.

This Act is administered in the Department of Internal Affairs.
