Pursuant to section 3A(1)(a)(iv) and (b) of the Public Finance Act 1989, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, and being satisfied, at the time of the making of this order, that more than 50% of the issued ordinary shares in the capital of Learning State Limited are held by Ministers of the Crown on behalf of the Crown, makes the following order.

3 Schedule 4 of Public Finance Act 1989 amended

Schedule 4 of the Public Finance Act 1989 is amended by inserting in its appropriate alphabetical order the item (but not the headings to the item) set out in the Schedule of this order.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order, which comes into force on 1 July 2010, inserts the name Learning State Limited into Schedule 4 of the Public Finance Act 1989. Adding Learning State Limited to Schedule 4 means that, under sections 45M and 45N of the Public Finance Act 1989, certain provisions of the Crown Entities Act 2004 apply to the company as if it were a Crown entity under the Crown Entities Act 2004.
