Pursuant to section 2(1) of the Local Government (Auckland) Amendment Act 2004, Her Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.

1 Title
This order is the Local Government (Auckland) Amendment Act Commencement Order 2004.
2 Commencement of sections 45 and 46 and Schedules 4 and 6 of Local Government (Auckland) Amendment Act 2004
Sections 45 and 46 and Schedules 4 and 6 of the Local Government (Auckland) Amendment Act 2004 come into force on 1 December 2004.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order brings sections 45 and 46 and Schedules 4 and 6 of the Local Government (Auckland) Amendment Act 2004 into force on 1 December 2004.
Those sections and schedules contain—
•amendments to the Land Transport Management Act 2003 and the Transport Services Licencing Act 1989 and
•transitional provisions relating to the vesting of the Auckland Regional Council's public transport service assets and liabilities in the Auckland Regional Transport Authority.
