This order is administered in the Ministry for the Environment.
PURSUANT to section 1(2) of the Resource Management Amendment Act 1994, Her Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
1 Title
This order may be cited as the Resource Management Amendment Act Commencement Order 1994.
2 Commencement of sections 2 and 26 of Resource Management Amendment Act 1994
Sections 2 and 26 of the Resource Management Amendment Act 1994 shall come into force on the 1st day of February 1995.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order brings into force, on 1 February 1995, sections 2 and 26 of the Resource Management Amendment Act 1994.
Section 2 inserts into section 2 of the Resource Management Act 1991 new definitions that are necessary in order to link the Act with the marine protection provisions contained in the Maritime Transport Act 1994.
Section 26 contains regulation-making powers relating to marine protection.
