An Act to amend the Social Security Act 1964
Be it enacted by the Parliament of New Zealand as follows:
1 Short Title and commencement
(1)
This Act may be cited as the Social Security Amendment Act (No. 2) 1992, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Social Security Act 1964 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).
(2)
This Act shall come into force on the 1st day of July 1992.
2 Interpretation
Section 3(1) of the principal Act is hereby amended by adding to the definition of the term “income”
(as substituted by section 3(1) of the Social Security Amendment Act 1984 and amended by section 2 of the Social Security Amendment Act (No. 5) 1991) the following subparagraph:
“(ix)
Any money received by way of an independence allowance under section 54 of the Accident Rehabilitation and Compensation Insurance Act 1992:”.
This Act is administered in the Department of Social Welfare.
