An Act to amend the Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters Act 1992
BE IT ENACTED by the Parliament of New Zealand as follows:
1 Short Title and commencement

(1) This Act may be cited as the Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters Amendment Act 1999, and is part of the Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters Act 1992 (
“the principal Act”
).(2) This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent.
2 Application of this Part
This section amended Section 24(1)(b) of the principal Act.
3 Limitations on requests by convention countries
-
(1) This subsection amended Section 24A(1) of the principal Act.
(2) This subsection amended Section 24A(2) of the principal Act.
(3) This subsection substituted Section 24A(3) to 24A(5) of the principal Act.
4 Further limitations on requests by convention countries
This section inserted section 24B into the principal Act.
