An Act to amend the Reserves Act 1977

BE IT ENACTED by the Parliament of New Zealand as follows:

1 Short Title and commencement

(1)

This Act may be cited as the Reserves Amendment Act (No. 3) 1993, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Reserves Act 1977 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

(2)

This Act shall come into force on the day on which it receives the Royal assent.

2 Public notice of intention to grant leases waived in certain circumstances

Section 54(2a) of the principal Act (as inserted by section 18(1) of the Reserves Amendment Act 1979) is hereby amended by repealing paragraph (b), and substituting the following paragraph:

“(b)

Is made following the granting of a resource consent under the Resource Management Act 1991 where the application for the resource consent was notified in accordance with section 93 of that Act.”

This Act is administered in the Department of Conservation.
