An Act to amend the Electric Power Boards Act 1925

BE IT ENACTED by the Parliament of New Zealand as follows:

1 Short Title

This Act may be cited as the Electric Power Boards Amendment Act 1993, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Electric Power Boards Act 1925 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

2 General powers of Boards with respect to authorised works

Section 82(o) of the principal Act is hereby amended by omitting the words “within the district”, and substituting the words “either within or outside the district”.

3 General powers of Auckland Electric Power Board with respect to electric works

Section 67(o) of the Auckland Electric Power Board Act 1978 is hereby amended by omitting the words “within the district”, and substituting the words “either within or outside the district”.

This Act is administered in the Ministry of Commerce.
