This Act may be cited as the Imprest Supply Act 1993.

This Act relates to the year ending with the 30th day of June 1993 (hereinafter referred to as the 1992–93 year).

In addition to all sums otherwise granted, there may be issued and applied, by way of imprest, towards the service of the 1992–93 year, amounts of public money not exceeding in the aggregate the sum of $500,000,000.

Expenses may be incurred, in advance of appropriation, in relation to any Vote, towards the service of the 1992–93 year, up to a total not exceeding in the aggregate the sum of $325,000,000.

In addition to all sums otherwise granted (including the sum specified in section 2 of this Act), public money may be issued and applied for the purpose of meeting the expenses incurred under subsection (1) of this section.

All sums issued and applied under section 2 of this Act shall be charged in the manner hereafter to be specified in an Appropriation Act for the 1992–93 year, and, until the Appropriation Act in which that manner is specified is passed, may be expended in the 1992–93 year as if they had been appropriated by Act of Parliament.

All expenses incurred under the authority of section 3(1) of this Act shall be charged in the manner hereafter to be specified in an Appropriation Act for the 1992–93 year, and, until the Appropriation Act in which that manner is specified is passed, may be incurred in the 1992–93 year in relation to any Vote and may be met as if they had been incurred pursuant to an appropriation by Act of Parliament.
