An Act to amend the Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters Act 1992

BE IT ENACTED by the Parliament of New Zealand as follows:

1 Short Title

This Act may be cited as the Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters Amendment Act 1994, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters Act 1992.

2 Assistance in arranging attendance of prisoner

Section 38(1) of the Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters Act 1992 is hereby amended by repealing paragraphs (b) and (c), and substituting the following paragraphs:

“(b)

Subject to any conditions of his or her release under Part VI of the Criminal Justice Act 1985; or

“(c)

Liable to recall under Part VI of the Criminal Justice Act 1985; or”.

This Act is administered in the Department of Justice.
