An Act to amend the Companies Act 1955

BE IT ENACTED by the Parliament of New Zealand as follows:

1 Short Title and commencement

(1)

This Act may be cited as the Companies Act 1955 Amendment Act (No. 8) 1994, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Companies Act 1955 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

This Act shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st day of July 1994.

2 Grounds for removal from register

Section 293(2)(a) of the principal Act (as inserted by section 41 of the Companies Amendment Act 1993) is hereby amended by omitting the words “and this Act”.

This Act is administered in the Department of Justice.
