An Act to amend the Adoption Act 1955
BE IT ENACTED by the Parliament of New Zealand as follows:
1 Short Title
This Act may be cited as the Adoption Amendment Act 1995, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Adoption Act 1955 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).
2 Interpretation
This section amended the definition of the term Maori, and substituted the definition of the term Social Worker in section 2 of the principal Act.
3 Appointment of Community Officers not to be questioned
No acts done under the principal Act by any person acting as a Community Officer appointed under section 4 of the Maori Community Development Act 1962 shall in any proceedings be questioned on the grounds that the person was not validly so appointed.
