1 Short Title and commencement

(1)

This Act may be cited as the Co-operative Companies Act 1996.

(2)

Except as provided in sections 49(3) and 50(4), this Act shall come into force on a date to be appointed by the Governor-General by Order in Council.

(3)

An order under this section is secondary legislation (see Part 3 of the Legislation Act 2019 for publication requirements).
