10 Suspension and cessation of membership

(1)

Where a member of the House of Representatives who is a member of the Committee is suspended from the service of the House of Representatives, that member shall be deemed to be suspended from membership of the Committee.

(2)

A person ceases to be a member of the Committee—

(a)

if that person is a nominated member of the Committee and that person’s nomination as a member of the Committee is revoked under section 9:

(b)

if Parliament is dissolved or expires:

(c)

if, before Parliament is dissolved or expires, that member ceases to be a member of the House of Representatives.

(3)

A nominated member may at any time resign from the Committee by writing signed by the member and addressed to the Prime Minister or the Leader of the Opposition, as the case may require.
