An Act to amend the Crown Minerals Act 1991

BE IT ENACTED by the Parliament of New Zealand as follows:

1 Short Title and commencement

(1)

This Act may be cited as the Crown Minerals Amendment Act 1996, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Crown Minerals Act 1991 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

(2)

This Act shall come into force on the 1st day of August 1996.

2 Grant of permit

Section 25(1) of the principal Act is hereby amended by inserting, after the word “Act”, the words “and to section 5a(3) of the Continental Shelf Act 1964”.

This Act is administered in the Ministry of Commerce.
