An Act to amend the Finance Act (No 2) 1990
BE IT ENACTED by the Parliament of New Zealand as follows:
(1)
This Act may be cited as the Finance Act (No 2) 1990 Amendment Act 1997, and is part of the Finance Act (No 2) 1990 (“the principal Act”).

Section 2 is deemed to have come into force on 1 July 1994.
(3)
Sections 3 and 4 come into force on a date to be appointed by the Governor-General by Order in Council.
(4)
Sections 3 and 4 come into force on 1 October 1997 if no Order in Council is made under subsection (3) appointing a date that is earlier than that date as the date for the coming into force of those sections.
(5)
Section 5 comes into force on the date on which this Act receives the Royal assent.
This section substituted s 8 of the principal Act.
This section inserted s 9A of the principal Act.
Schedule 2 of the Department of Justice (Restructuring) Act 1995 is consequentially amended by repealing the item relating to section 8(5)(a) of the Finance Act (No 2) 1990.
