(1)
In any case where the Agency gives written permission under any regulations made under this Part for the use on any road of any motor vehicle that, or the load of which, exceeds any maximum dimension prescribed by the regulations, the Agency may, as a condition of that permission, require that—
the motor vehicle be used only under the supervision of 1 or more enforcement officers; and
the person to whom the permission is given pay to the Commissioner any fee that the Commissioner fixes to cover the costs incurred by the Police in providing that supervision.
(2)
Any fee payable to the Commissioner under subsection (1) constitutes a debt due to the Crown and may be recovered accordingly in any court of competent jurisdiction.
