128F Powers of enforcement officers in relation to public transport service fares

(1)

An enforcement officer may direct a person to provide evidence that the person has paid a public transport service fare that the person is liable to pay.

(2)

If a person fails to provide evidence of payment after a direction is given under subsection (1), the enforcement officer may—

(a)

direct the person to provide the person’s full name, full address, telephone number, and date of birth; and

(b)

direct the person not to board, or direct the person to disembark, the public transport service concerned.
