An Act to amend the Extradition Act 1965
BE IT ENACTED by the Parliament of New Zealand as follows:
1 Short Tide
This Act may be cited as the Extradition Amendment Act 1998, and is part of the Extradition Act 1965 (“the principal Act”
).
2 First Schedule amended
(1)
Part I of the First Schedule of the principal Act is amended by omitting the items relating to sections 146 and 206 of the Crimes Act 1961.
(2)
Part I of the First Schedule of the principal Act is amended by omitting the item relating to sections 183 and 184 of the Crimes Act 1961, and substituting the following item:
| “183 | Procuring abortion by any means”. |
(3)
Part I of the First Schedule of the principal Act is amended by inserting, in their appropriate numerical order, the following items:
| “140A | Indecency with boy between 12 and 16 |
| “198A | Using any firearm against law enforcement officer, etc |
| “198B | Commission of crime with firearm |
| “202C | Assault with weapon |
| “205 | Bigamy |
| “229A | Taking or dealing with certain documents with intent to defraud |
| “240A | Aggravated burglary |
| “266A | Altering or reproducing document with intent to defraud |
| “266B | Using altered or reproduced document with intent to defraud”. |
This Act is administered in the Ministry of Justice.
