The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:

This Act is the Telecommunications (Development Levy) Amendment Act 2015.

This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent.

This Act amends the Telecommunications Act 2001 (the principal Act).

In Schedule 3B, replace the item relating to 2016/17 and the item relating to 2017/18 and each subsequent financial year with:

2016/17		50 million
2017/18		50 million
2018/19		50 million
2019/20		10 million
2020/21 and each subsequent financial year		the inflation-adjusted specified telecommunications development levy

21 May 2015		Introduction (Bill 20–1), first reading, second reading, committee of the whole House, third reading
27 May 2015		Royal assent

This Act is administered by the Ministry of Business, Innovation, and Employment.
