The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:
1 Title
This Act is the Local Electoral Amendment Act (No 2) 2013.
2 Commencement
This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent.
3 Principal Act
This Act amends the Local Electoral Act 2001 (the principal Act).
4 Section 138 amended (Duty to take action in respect of offences)
Replace section 138(1)(a)(ii) with:
“(ii) Part 5A; or
“(iii) this Part; or”.
