This Act is administered by the Ministry of Business, Innovation, and Employment.
The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:
1 Title
This Act is the Accident Compensation Amendment Act 2013.
2 Commencement

(1) This Act comes into force on a date to be appointed by the Governor-General by Order in Council, and 1 or more orders may be made appointing different dates for different provisions.
(2) If any provision of this Act has not earlier been brought into force under subsection (1), it comes into force on the day that is 1 year after the date on which this Act receives the Royal assent.
Section 2: this Act brought into force, on 2 September 2013, by the Accident Compensation Amendment Act 2013 Commencement Order 2013 (SR 2013/307).
3 Principal Act
This Act amends the Accident Compensation Act 2001 (the principal Act).
4 Entitlements inalienable
Section 123(2)(j) is amended by adding
“; or”
and also by adding the following paragraph:“(k) section 41B of the Legal Services Act 2011.”
